Mr. Duemer,
I am not one for leaving comments but after reading this I felt compelled.
I simply wanted to tell you thank you for writing this, it is rare for me to read something that stops me in my tracks and forces me to come to a full halt and THINK!
Thank you again and thank the world for teachers.

Hello to Joseph Duemer: The return to Seattle's U of W Campus (now with a bothell and a tacoma branch) becomes part of alum life. In 2006 I read with Return of the Poetry Bus simultaneous with UW Homecoming, Poetry Bus was at the Space Needle. I chose a piece that is at Salt River Review in their archives, Vol 11, No 2, Fall 2008.

(That first class, I have a visual memory of riding the elevator down to leave, in which I rapidly made friends with a dorm neighbor, but on that first walk above me a squirrel tailed me all the way, high in these small trees.) Laura Jensen
