Penny 1994 – 2009

Rescued from the shelter, she was a tough customer, stoic to the end. I just came in from burying her on a rise overlooking the river, near where her old pal Mingo is buried. I left some incense burning on her grave to help send her spirit on its way.

    Thanks, Pablo. She had a good run and she went out with dignity, which is about all any of us could wish for, I think.

    We lost Checkers a few weeks ago. Rough summer all around.

    I am sorry for your loss. The picture shows everything you said about her, tough and stoic, but also sweet.
