Getting in the blogroll of This Recording may not be up there with the Nobel Prize, but then I’m no Al Gore or Doris Lessing. Maybe not up there with an NEA grant of a Fulbright, quite, but making the TR blogroll is so much cooler than getting invited to Yaddo. Blogs are the new art colonies. Not to mention the street cred. (Does the internet have streets?)

Yeah, funny. I tend to link to anyone who links to me. Well, almost anyone.

Beyond the joke – and it was a joke – I get email asking me to add this or that site all the time. Doesn’t work that way.
I use mine instead of bookmarks. No more, no less.
I occasionally get an email asking for a link & I will usually look at the site, but it is invariably lame. I’ve also had the experience of finding someone linking to my site & being embarrassed when I take a look, thinking, “Why in the world would this person be interested in my left wing poetry snark?
