    HOLOCENE

    Fire in the walls
    of our packed house
    loud talk
    drowning out the offering

    of the whole animal
    only living here
    temporarily so
    will trash the place

    too sure to hear
    the ears are easily
    removed everyone helping

    everyone passing

    much animated mouthing.
